Your House Hunting Wish List

Your House Hunting Wish List!

As I’ve mentioned more than a few times, you need to be clear on your WANTS and NEEDS when house hunting!  What you NEED in a home and cannot live without is different from what you WANT in a home and isn’t completely necessary.  It is smart to compose such a list when you are ready to start house hunting, keeping in mind that the list may change from time to time after looking at different homes.

Read this Wish List by Sandra Rinomato with HGTV for some really good ideas on how to compose your House Hunting Wish List and what you should include on it.

If you need help getting started on your house hunting wish list or are ready to start viewing properties in Red Deer & Central Alberta, please contact me or visit my website!

Get Lost Much?  Check Out These Updated Maps of Red Deer, Blackfalds & Sylvan Lake, Alberta!

I’ve noticed that Google Maps, Apple (iPhone) Maps, Mapquest and maps of vehicle navigation systems are not always up-to-date!  That makes life a bit tricky when I take clients out to look at homes in the newer areas of Red Deer, Blackfalds and Sylvan Lake…  We depend on these “tools” so much these days.  Click on the city or town name for  links to maps for Red Deer (which is broken down into neighbourhoods), Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake and Summer Villages of Sylvan Lake.  Here is a map of where the neighbourhoods are in Red Deer: Neighbourhood Map of Red Deer.  This will help you if you are unfamiliar with Red Deer.

5.  Red Deer has many Parks throughout the city.  Here are a few of my favourites: Rotary Park, Bower Ponds, Kin Kanyon, Discovery Canyon (in summer), Blue Grass Sod Farm Central Spray and Play (in summer) and Heritage Ranch.  You really never have to drive anywhere to get to a park though as there are great parks in every neighbourhood as well as outdoor skating rinks in the winter which double as basketball or tennis courts in the summer!
